Tonight we resume our deep dive into the details of the #wingchun Wooden Dummy Form.This evening we will be discussing the 6th Section of the #mukyanjohg. This section contains the Gaan Sau and often misunderstood and badly named cross stamp kick. James will be giving some great ideas on how to use the footwork to great effect.It is not too late to join us on this great journey. With people from the UK, Canada, Australia and the Phillipines there is a great spirit in the sessions. The #UKWCKFA focus a lot on footwork. This video is a simplistc and stylistic approach, it is usually a lot messier and invloves close Chi Sau skills. We have simply created this to make ideas clear. Just like Newton exclaimed. For every action these is an equal and oppostive reaction. And yes we fully accept you all have your own opinions and experience, and therefore we cannot enter discussions as it can go back and forth ad infinitum.Part of the skills used in Chi Sau entail using the knees, sweeps and traps. Most of the skills here can also be practicesd on he #woodendummy in these times of self isolation.Whilst most #wingchun schools do not train this in #chisau, James Sinclair has found that, on a number of occassions, in 'friendly' Chi Sau, with people of other schools, the opponents get frustrated and attempt a sneaky knee/kick to the privates. All the more fun!In this short video you will get a small idea on how we (the UKWCKFA) use simple legs skills. You may also notice how they correllate to the hands skills. We filmed 12 part Chi Gerk video quite a few years back, but sadly it was filmed with not the best lighting and will not be released. A BIG THANK YOU.Yesterday evening we held the last online session for 2020, as we progressed through the #wingchun Wooden Dummy sections. We spent an hour on the Po Pai section, giving solid practical approaches to what is all too easily an over elaborate shove. Explaining the body mechanics, and correct hand placement. The video will be edited with 4 camera angles and available to our online subscribers very soon. Today all of our online subscribers will receive a bonus one hour Wing Chun tutorial that has never been released. Thank you to everyone for the huge enthusiasm you offer. It is simply amazing and quite humbling that you feel the sessions we conduct have been of so much interest, enjoyment and information.Lets hope we can all get back to a normal 2021 with the rollout of the vaccine.
